For Christians, pilgrimage serves as a reminder of their condition as travelers on this earth, guided by faith, in search of meaning and life with the Lord. Every pilgrimage is an invitation to leave behind the routine of daily life and open one’s heart to God, following in the footsteps of the many disciples who have walked before us.
Making a pilgrimage to Notre-Dame de Paris is to walk towards one of the spiritual and historical hearts of France. Notre-Dame welcomes pilgrims from all over the world, who come to pray, reflect, or simply marvel at the Blessed Sacrament, the Crown of Thorns, or the statue of Mary. The cathedral is a living place of faith, where every stone bears witness to centuries of prayer. Whether in a group or individually, you can experience this journey of faith by discovering its history, architectural beauty, and most importantly, by encountering God through prayer, liturgy, and the meeting with Mary, Mother of the Church.
Individual Pilgrimage
If you wish to embark on a pilgrimage individually or with a small group (up to 5 people), we invite you to reserve your access to the cathedral via our online platform.
Dates and time slots will be available 48 hours in advance.
You can prepare your visit by downloading the Notre-Dame de Paris app, coming soon. A Pilgrimage Path will guide you within the cathedral.
We also invite you to accompany your journey with the Pilgrim’s Guide, available from December 2024 in both French and English versions in our shop.
Group Pilgrimage
