The Christmas celebrations at Notre-Dame de Paris are an invitation to experience the joy of the Nativity in a spirit of prayer, sharing, and reflection.
It is an opportunity to rediscover the mystery of the Incarnation: God made man, coming into our world to redeem our lives and offer us His peace.
In Anticipation of Christmas
A Neapolitan Crèche to Discover
Until early January, the cathedral is hosting a magnificent Neapolitan crèche, visible in the north ambulatory. This artwork invites both young and old to contemplate the humility of Christ’s birth in a scene rich with details and symbols. An ideal way to meditate on the Christmas message: a God who becomes close, at the heart of our humanity.

Access to the Cathedral and Masses
An exceptional influx of visitors is expected on December 24th and 25th.
Visiting the Cathedral:
We recommend choosing another time for your visit, as access to the cathedral may be difficult due to the large number of worshippers.
Attending the Christmas Masses:
No reservations are possible for the Masses. It is advised to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the service. Please keep in mind that the queues may be long, and there is a risk of not being able to access the cathedral if it reaches full capacity.
Accessibility for People with Reduced Mobility (PRM):
A reserved access for people with reduced mobility (upon presentation of a valid card) is available near the central door. Our team will welcome you there. Access to the cathedral remains subject to a strict capacity limit, and if this limit is reached, entry may be temporarily restricted, even for priority visitors. An accompanying person is allowed.

A Christmas of Hope
After several years of waiting, Notre-Dame de Paris is once again opening its doors to celebrate Christmas. This cathedral, a symbol of unity and faith, reminds us that the light of Christ is stronger than the darkness. At Christmas, let us contemplate this light that illuminates our lives and our path.
May the joy of the Nativity shine in your hearts, in your families, and throughout the world.
