On Friday, November 15, 2024, the cathedral will once again welcome the statue of the Virgin and Child, Our Lady of Paris, which was removed following the fire of April 15, 2019. This return marks the renewal of the dedication of the building to the Virgin Mary.
Procession and Vigil Program :
- 6:00 PM: Start of the candlelit procession from the forecourt of Saint-Germain-l’Auxerrois Church (75001 Paris).
- 7:00 PM: Blessing of the statue of the Virgin and Child by the Archbishop of Paris, Monsignor Laurent Ulrich, before its return to the cathedral.
- 7:30 PM: Vigil of praise and prayer.

This vigil marks the conclusion of the preparatory novena for the return of the statue of the Virgin Mary, from November 7 to 15, 2024.
